Engineering & Design Academy

Explore the World of Advanced Manufacturing! During the Engineering & Design Academy, students engage in hands-on activities and are given exercises that allow them to design, render and analyze complex 3D designs. Students undergo a week-long computer-aided design (CAD) training and intermediate fabrication training, including spot welding, silk pressing, vacuum forming, metal shop, and basic electronic circuits. For their final project, teams of students use their skills to design a chair that meets the needs of a specific consumer.
