Career Exhibit Days offer middle school students interactive, hands-on experiences in high-demand fields, helping them explore potential careers and learn about pathways through their local feeder high schools.
Bionics Academy
June 17-18, June 23-24 & July 10-11, 2024 | Santa Ana College & Cypress College
The Bionics Academy was created in partnership with the Orange County Regional Consortium, DIAG USA ICAN, Cypress College, and Santa Ana College.
Over three sessions at two different sites, college professors led students in building bionic kits, exploring engineering skills, and learning about bionics and engineering careers. Students collaborated to build and test their creations while discovering the programs offered by Cypress College and Santa Ana College.
Additionally, students gained insights into the daily experiences and opportunities in the field from professionals at Parker Aerospace and Ricaurte Precision Inc. (RPI).
IUSD NEXT Academy
June 10-14, 2024 | Edwards Lifesciences
Forty high school students from Irvine Unified completing our week-long summer program. During the academy, students developed their skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurial mindset, career mapping, and more. They learned of all the various career pathways, discovered internship and apprenticeship opportunities, and connected and networked with industry professionals.
Golden West College NEXT Academy

Over the course of a week, students from Golden West College engaged in workshops covering essential topics such as financial literacy, networking, and developing an entrepreneurial mindset. We capped off the week with an inspiring mentor roundtable discussion featuring industry professionals from various fields.
Electric Vehicle Challenge

With 17 teams from 9 high schools, the year’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Challenge was a success! It is always great to see the passion, creativity, and drive from these exceptional students each year.
