In loving memory of Misha Houser, Vital Link has created the Misha Houser Work Experience Scholarship Fund. This fund will be kept in perpetuity to honor Misha’s memory as a scholarship for students who are placed in Internships and Apprenticeships to receive stipends for their hours worked.
Supporting students in internships and apprenticeships is a pivotal investment in the future workforce and the broader community. These opportunities provide students with hands-on, real-world experiences that bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application. By donating to support students in internships and apprenticeships, individuals and organizations contribute to the development of a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. This support helps students gain valuable insights, develop industry-specific skills, and build professional networks, enhancing their employability upon graduation. Additionally, fostering such opportunities promotes innovation and growth in various sectors by ensuring a pipeline of well-prepared, motivated individuals entering the workforce. Donations toward student internships and apprenticeships not only empower individuals but also contribute to the overall economic and social development of communities by cultivating a talented and competent workforce.
Misha was dedicated to helping students in our community and we want to celebrate her dedication and thank her for her many years of service to our community and to the students of Vital Link.
